It's also about convincing you that they impose reality and that they are the final arbiters of truth. Hence the importance of continuing to name reality and truth ourselves, at every single turn, with all that is available to us.
Every lie told by this regime, no matter how brazen, shocking, or dehumanizing, makes perfect sense when I think about their claim that immigrants were eating pets in Ohio. It's not about evidence or credibility, it's about pushing narratives to facilitate ethnic cleansing.

Back in 2007 Fox News did a segment on how Mr. Rogers, who died in 2003, was "evil" & was the source of many of America's problems. Fun fact: Fred Rogers was a lifelong REPUBLICAN, but he was the sort of old school liberal Republican that Fox News was designed to eliminate. youtu.be/29lmR_357rA?...

When Mr. Rogers died in 2003 Westboro Baptist Church showed up at his funeral to protest against him. Fox News ran that hit piece on Mr. Rogers' supposedly toxic influence in 2007, when Meghan McCain was 23 years old. Eight years later she signed up for a job with them.

This is 100% FALSE. Immigration judges do NOT play any role in issuing administrative warrants. They are generated and signed by ICE officers themselves. ICE’s own training materials say they can’t be used for a search of a home!

Here’s a blank warrant form. Note who signs it.

Tbh, if you told me that even a year ago, I don't know how seriously I would have taken it.
If you had told me during the 1990s that Europe would send some sort of symbolic expeditionary force to Greenland to make it more unpalatable for... the Unites States to invade the island... I would have asked you what variety of mushrooms you had put in your risotto & tried to acquire some myself.

The alternative would be monetary policy decided by a person who does not understand trade deficits. So, that really ought to spook everyone. But here we are.
If I was Jerome Powell, and I was old enough to remember that Trump chickened out after spooking the bond markets last April, I too would make a very public statement intended to spook bond markets.
