i get that some people just want some of their addons to work and that's fine, but i'm gonna be very pissed if i get a bug report because somebody manually changed the toc to 120000 of some old addon that's throwing tons of errors. there was a reason blizz purposefully outdated the toc number.

Not a great idea. They purposely deprecated prior TOC numbers. The changes this patch are MASSIVE. It's a great way to crash the game and lose your saved variables.

Until the addon author for Emote Splitter/Listener gets around to fixing things, someone on Curse has discovered a fix. It works for both addons, I discovered.

When I worked in hotels, calling our local phone number - get this - made the phone ring at the front desk and it was MY JOB to answer that phone and help people.
I want us to return to that world. It was more fun when we just helped each other and didn't try to avoid each other.

Btw my thread about AI gen addons was about this addon wowhead featured in an article. It's curious they shared the article on twitter but not to bluesky. I wonder what kind of audience they're trying to appeal to, almost as if they know something about the content they're writing, huh
