This isn’t always the case but sometimes, a word from one language will have a phoneme in it that doesn’t exist in another language.
People tend to struggle with new sounds, and simply hearing how it’s pronounced isn’t always enough.

i still cant believe that in the year 2025 youtubers still do that thing where they mispronounce a word from another language several times before going "haha wow that sure was weird to say and probably wrong lol" it's a recorded video!! you can literally just look up how to say words in 2 seconds.

While most azdoves have surnames, azdov nobility doesn’t.
Surnames are seen as a way to tell normal people apart from eachother. Nobles already have titles they can use to differentiate eachother.
