An example of my fantasy pixel font called Knightwood, showing thematic fantasy words from A-Z. Below are examples of words, numbers, and symbols commonly used in video games (such as for high scores, xp, timers, and progress). A decorative border frames the showcase, and dungeon chains hang in the background - these are box drawing elements included in the font that you can type using text! A showcase of pixel art paper GUI elements made using my pixel paper pack tileset. Examples include horizontal pages that can be pristine, have subtle or deep fold lines, curled corners, rips, snags, or burn marks. Ribbons and banners with elegant loops can be used for titles and headings and work well with fantasy themes! A pixel art showcase of blank character body types, each in masculine and feminine forms. They are 16 x 48 pixels and use 5 colours. Trim Jim: an "average" body type of those shown in this example. Gym Jim: a strong and highly muscular build. Grim Jim: a skeleton (center). Slim Jim: a slender, skinny body type. Chin Jim: an overweight body type. My entry for the pixel art Septembit 2025 challenge, where I created 1-bit assets based on word prompts and pre-defined sizes. The final prompt was to use all of the assets to create a "city"! I chose instead to make part of a top down town inspired by The Legend of Zelda titles on Gameboy consoles :D This is the non-animated version, featuring a river, rower, railway tracks and a cart, different houses, a great fairy fountain, whispering stone, and environment tiles like paths, grass, bushes, and plants. Title scroll: "The Legend of Septembit, 2025" The scroll and fonts are also my own design using previously made assets.

Various nautical themed monsters and dragons, made on my own time. These were done to practice working in a limited color palette. Some top-down environmental tiles. Drawings of three bat monsters from Sean Young's game Monsterpatch. A massive pixel drawing of Cthulhu sitting cross legged. I drew this to see what was the biggest pixel art I could make in a week.

Don't let anyone hoax you into thinking only those axis are important.These are just the only ones that can be optimized. Everything else about art cannot be measured in numbers, it's unpredictable and emotional and where the beauty of it all lies, therefore unintelligible for the uninitiated.

Good art is not measured by time or money spent, good art sometimes happens through the most impractical circumstances. Sometimes the impracticality is the part that is the most fun and brings the best results. Sometimes the process is even part of the artwork.

Anyway as of latest brainstorming, if this game becomes a thing, it sounds like we're going with drum roll... killing an enemy transforms you into that enemy. Undecided on how long the transformation would last. Maybe time limit or monster mana usage... something.

A comic. First pannel: two knights are walking and one hears "PEEP!" coming from under a tree. Second pannel: he goes to see what it is. Third pannel: he comes back to the other knight holding something in his hands and says "Poor fella, it's nest must've fell down :(" fourth pannel: we see knights hand upclose holding a little bird that looks simmilar to the other knight. The knight holding it wonders why it looks so oddly familiar, while we see the other knight behind looking at the hand, probably confused.

Made a small cheat-sheet for Aseprite's outline tool. As limited as it is (you can't exclude or select more than 1 color at once) it's still a powerful tool for a rough pass.
