Yes. That person.
Before the holy night of #Christmas, find one person with whom to make peace. This will be a more precious gift than any that can be bought, because peace is a gift found only in the heart.

Rob Reiner's work is a valuable treasure to me. A Few Good Men was probably the first of his movies I saw, a formative one in my teens.

In the midst of unending conflicts, injustices, and sufferings that cry out for relief, #OurLadyOfGuadalupe proclaims the heart of her message: “Am I not here, I who am your mother?” Her voice makes resound the promise of God’s faithfulness, whose presence sustains us when life becomes unbearable.

To the question about why he had not prayed as “visibly” as his predecessors had, Leo said: “Who said I didn’t pray? They said I didn’t, but I already explained on the plane—I mentioned a book (‘The Practice of the Presence of God’ by Brother Lawrence)—and perhaps I am praying even now.”

I found the little way! And I'm about to show the whole world home. Please follow me during my passion week, and offer the greatest prayers you've ever offered. Jesus is coming.

Help, Lord, for no one loyal remains;
the faithful have vanished from the children of men.

They tell lies to one another,
speak with deceiving lips and a double heart.

May the Lord cut off all deceiving lips,
and every boastful tongue,

If your government thinks the Pope “doesn’t know what he’s talking about” when he defends migrants’ dignity, the world should see the warning sign. The US is no longer leading on human rights. It’s suppressing them.

#ReligiousFreedom allows individuals and communities to seek the truth, live it freely, and bear witness to it openly. It is therefore a cornerstone of any just society, for it safeguards the moral space in which conscience may be formed and exercised.

#Peace is unarmed and disarming. It is not deterrence, but fraternity; it is not an ultimatum, but dialogue. Peace will not come as the result of victories over the enemy, but as the fruit of sowing justice and courageous forgiveness.

The larger point here is that purity tests on who counts as "pro-life" would fail for anyone currently in the political square. Compassion is central. "I would ask first and foremost that there be greater respect for one another and that we search together... to find the way forward in this Church."
