Currently trying to bake ethical and moral dilemmas into so-called "easy" encounters for the new D&D campaign... #ttrpg

With slightly more snark, yes I did have to support one of my staff as they reminded the local shopping centre security that just because someone is homeless, doesn't mean they can't use the library to keep warm like everyone else #librarylife

Today in Libraryland, we have warm welcomes, free tea and coffee, rhymetime, storytime, study spaces, and enrolments for our super access scheme allowing people to use the place outside staffed hours #librarylife

I made this a while back - a collection of tents and a shack - here's two versions of the map, a link to the Steam share, and five system-neutral scenario seeds for playing with it #ttrpg #maps #vtt
Maps – A Dusty Camp
I'm making all sorts of badlands biome maps because the new D&D campaign is going to be in that kind of setting - and a massive palette change from the winter and snow-dominated maps of the last few years. For the most part I'm making them with no particular scenario or story moment in mind, so I have flexibility in how I use them.

From concept to final version - a ruined chamber on the edge of a cliff - I ended up thinking it a dragon's aerie in the ruins of a mountain hall #ttrpg #maps #vtt

Harpies have made this aerie a favourite place to run a fighting pit for prisoners, built by enthralled victims in the ruin of an old pyramid structure #ttrpg #maps #vtt

Plague-Stricken

A general grumble about being sick, but at least working story things out for the new D&D game

On nights out for #hagswalk I had this tray full of green dice. While I was rearranging everything yesterday, I swapped them all out for warmer hues of orange and red to reflect the Fire In The Hills @katyafirehair.bsky.social #ttrpg #dice

Today in libraryland - yes! We're open! Warm spaces, wifi, hot drinks, and comfy chairs! We're doing our bit for people escaping families, and those who just need somewhere quiet and warm #librarylife

Have a quick couple of maps - ground level, and with the roofs on - of a bunch of tents and a round house in desert scrubland around a monolith #ttrpg #vtt #maps

Back on a roll with the maps - must have a new campaign in development... anyway here's a camp set up near the openings of an abandoned mine, complete with a spring head and supplies in one of the caves #ttrpg #maps

I made a new map for random encounters in the badlands - good for animal ambushes and camp disruptions I think - lighting is set for evening, and there's entrances to the north, west, and southeast. Mostly sand and rocks and dry brush among the raised land #ttrpg #maps #vtt

Christmas Eve

A quiet morning so far, with everyone else asleep in the flat. I always find it hard to wind down for holidays, theres always a feeling of coiled springs beneath my skin, especially in my shoulders - but today, right now, thats less noticeable. It's quiet. There's no traffic noise.…

A quiet morning so far, with everyone else asleep in the flat. I always find it hard to wind down for holidays, theres always a feeling of coiled springs beneath my skin, especially in my shoulders - but today, right now, thats less noticeable. It's quiet. There's no traffic noise. There's the gentle hiss and draw of Lady M's cpap machine on the edge of hearing and that's reassuring in it's way.

This was the last thing he posted. Tom Cox was never seen again.
Had to clamber over a barbed wire fence, rip my coat and trespass to get a photo of this folkloric monster pretending half-successfully to be a tree. I have no regrets.
