Municipal governments need to stop thinking of these projects as “one offs” where each rec centre is a bespoke project for the community. Instead, they should just adopt standardized designs that are periodically updated based on lessons learned and feedback.

As long as students are taught tools so that they can tell whether what LLMs are saying is BS, it is a good thing to use them in schools.

I was taught to not use Wikipedia. It would have been better if I had been taught how to use it, including how to go from it to more authoritative sources.

I would have liked to think radical left lunatics' chief weapons were surprise and fear.

And ruthless efficiency ... and an almost fanatical devotion to George Soros.

TBF, “it is frankly bizarre that” can preface every instance of “Trump’s case for”.
It is frankly bizarre that Trump’s case for ousting Maduro is based on drugs (which aren’t that much of a thing) and oil (a marginal and extremely long-term thing, if any) but not on migration/refugees despite that having fuelled his 2024 victory and dominated his domestic policy.

This needs to be embedded in #OttCity planning; no more “consulting” or “balance” but taken at face value: build bike lanes, proper bike lanes, and maintain them in all our urban areas, traditional main streets etc.
“Survey after survey has shown that business owners overestimate how many customers drive to their stores vs walking or biking. In a 2012 Los Angeles study, more than half of the store owners on the bike-laned part of the boulevard thought most of their customers drove. The actual number was 15%.”
I read all the studies on the economic impact of bike lanes. Here's what I learned.
Research proves that bike lanes are good for business. So why do so many stores and restaurants still oppose them?
