Working with #kakapo, this is the best thing you'll ever see. When "candling" an egg you hold your breath, hoping to see this: beautiful embryo development in a fertile egg. This is Tiwhiri's second egg, about 8 days old. About half of eggs are infertile. #kakapo2026 #conservation #birds

Hi everyone just checking in to say I survived retail hell of December mostly unscathed! I had an ER trip for a gallbladder attack two days before Xmas and I’ve basically been avoiding holiday foods as much as I can since then. May have surgery in my near future, but currently doing okay!

Just a general heads up, my responses will be a little slow the next few weeks as I’m entering the literal retail hell week at my day job. Estimating 65+ hours this week alone, so wish me luck!
