I am really enjoying my little chemo free month thanks to surgery. Brain is finally feeling sharp as before the dx.
However, I could really do without the 3am wakeup time, brain full of things! (Not bad thinks! Good, creative thinks. But couldn't it wait for office hours?)

Well, I have finally seen Superman and it was everything I hoped for in a Superman story. I love that we are finally starting to get more comic book movies that don't seem ashamed of the source material.

Lots of not-great happenings this summer, but I take great joy in the small victories in the garden. All my heritage peppers are happily fruiting!

So ... For those of you who have never had the pleasure... Part of the drug cocktail I get every couple weeks is dexamethasone, a steroid that helps my body cope with the cytotoxic drugs that kill the cancer.
Which is great. However, it also causes the weirdest insomnia I have ever experienced. 1/2

What a great day! Starting with a narrow 2-stroke win over @kat-shane.bsky.social at mini golf, then a pleasant walk around the marsh, ending with delicious brisket and a beer on the deck. Very invigorating.

Just finished reading "Jade Evergreen and the Perils of Polybius" last night. I knew I would like it because I absolutely LOVED Magica Riot, but as an 80s kid I was particularly thrilled to see how much @magicariot.com nailed the feel of storytelling in that era.
