Daughter (7) basically had a meltdown today because she doesn’t like how overwhelming my mom is around her, won’t give her space, and feels like she can’t be herself around her.
While this is not how I will handle it out loud, it’s both heartbreaking and a relief to hear it wasn’t me growing up.

I am not sure protein powder is for me. I’ve tried various flavors over the years and it feels like I’m choking every one down lol.

If I offer my daughter a compliment or praise something she’s done, she’s started doing this sort of “you’re only saying that because you have to/I’m your only child so of course you’d say that” sort of thing and I’m not sure what is best to say in response? Also going to ask her therapist but
