I just realzed that 2026 is FilmHydra's 10-year anniversary. Last year I did practically nothing on the site, it would be nice to pick the pace up a little bit.

To break the silence I wrote about "The Sand."

"The Sand" is a 2015 horror movie that asks the question: what if we adapt a public domain children’s game to the big screen?

We need everyone we can get in this fight against a fascist takeover.

If your first instinct to someone being politically mobilized by all this is to give them a sneering "well, what took you so long?" you don't actually care about our winning this; you just want to be able to say you were right.

I'm a little frustrated with the complaints from people that this storm was over-hyped in some areas.

This storm was constantly changing from the start, and for some of us, the below-freezing temps are going to make it worse.

Better to be prepared than not.

Thank you meteorologists!

I’m not telling anyone how to use social media, but I find *my* timeline is improved by blocking everyone who reflexively responds to US Politics news by saying there will be no midterms.

Yeah, I think that’s what we’re worried about.
