Gosh, I end up blocking so many followers. Sorry not sorry I have zero interest in an account with 67k followers and 89k followings just because they did some growthacking. Also, bot accounts, gosh, nope, bye. I want a place to chat, share and interact with humans. 🤷♂️

Huge parts of human knowledge are missing from the internet. By definition, generative AI is shockingly ignorant too. AI systems rely mostly on Western, English-dominant data, excluding oral, Indigenous, and low-resource languages.

Okay folks that's it, I'm turning Vampire Diaries into a hydration drinking game. Get tea, spice latte, water, any hydration beverage.
Everytime they drink
- a beer: 1 sip
- strong alcohol: 2 sips
- blood: 3 sips
Damon kills someone: 5 sips (yes even if the someone might / will revive)

With more people around here now I wonder, is there a tool were you feed your Twitter following and it tries to find them here? I would like to see if some of my mutuals arrived here and I missed them.

A read-only text field is focusable. And confusing to users.
If you add `tabindex="-1"` and/or `pointer-events: none`, admit it’s wrong and make it plain text instead.
If you use it anyway, style it so it’s clear (good luck). Here are my shitty styles: adrianroselli.com/2019/09/unde...

Meanwhile on the balcony:
- Pineapple sage blooms and is getting out of control in the DIY plant tower (anyone in Luxembourg wants some? It's nice as herbal tea)
- I got a mini cauliflower
- Raspberries who didn't have any fruits in spring got all the fruits now. It's 10°C...
Make it make sense 😅

Current status: I'm still testing the Cricut Maker 4, so, enjoy some little sticker mat removal ASMR
(I had a small issue in the middle because it's a new mat so it sticks quite well, but the cut is very clean, love it).

Common misconceptions about screen readers:
- not only blind people use screen readers
- not every user use it in the same way
- not all screen readers work the same way.
- do not build a screen reader specific version of a website or app, instead make your content accessible for everyone.

Current status: so, so tired. As in, "why do I even bother taking time for this".
The issue is that, the "this" is too many things, from my newsletter, to posting on social media, to even, reading about tech those days and beyond.
Where do people find energy at the end of the year?

Animations can make the interface feel predictable and faster, but also when done wrong, they do the opposite: make it feel slow, unpredictable, annoying. Emil Kowalski gives a couple of tips on how to strike the right balance.

I've been playing with a Cricut maker 4 (thanks to @minimachines.bsky.social), I have to admit, not having a software lag on Mac, is a blast. The Silhouette one is a nightmare. But, not having the ability to lock layers, haaa, why Cricut, why.
