It's not my tool, but maybe they do?

Happy to be a tester if you find the time. My motion sickness is mostly triggered with parallax, things that bounce, but also, while playing Spyro the dragon πŸ˜‚
It's the "I rely too much on my eyes and not enough on internal ear" type, same that makes people carsick when they read in a car.

Hahaha okay, this made my day, it's Friday, brain is fried so poo jokes are welcome 🀣 thanks for sharing haha

I was told that, if you block the people behind the page, the page can't access your content. So, let's try.
January 16, 2026 at 3:19 PM
Ooh snap. I wish they used the CSS media query to turn off the motion when user has the prefers motion set to reduced. I'll check later if there is a place where I can get this feedback to the team (I don't know them but there must be a contact somewhere)
January 16, 2026 at 3:18 PM
Since they move on hover, my motion sickness is not triggerer. But I agree, they should be deactivated using CSS prefers reduced motion. There is something about it in WCAG 2.2, respecting motion preferences but it's AAA so none cares 😭😭😭

Also let's not forget the famous "Pussy I farted", aka, "chatte j'ai pΓ©tΓ©", when you try to say chatGPT in French, with many voice to text tools and automated translation tools (is it the animal or the slur, I let you decide).
January 16, 2026 at 3:11 PM
Today's technology & language mess: Google's voice to text is censoring slur. I wanted to say DPD, in a message in French, which is a delivery company. It understood "des pΓ©dΓ©s", French homophobic slur, so of course, it censored it.
That delivery company must have many issues in French. πŸ˜…

I usually don't like when things move, but some of those icons have very nice little animations:

Another episode of LinkedIn entshitification: you can't block companies, only people.
Which means: I can't block the companies that now spam my comments with AI generated crap. Of course you can report, but, reports for spam usually don't lead to anything.
Comments are becoming such a mess it's sad
January 16, 2026 at 8:46 AM
I'm tempted to add my DnD alignement at this point and giggle when it comes up in automated messages. "We are very impressed by your experience with design, neutral chaos and UX research" 🀣
January 16, 2026 at 8:43 AM
And yes I'm totally expecting you to tell me no you won't use it, using those excuses in the comments 😁

Are you a people pleaser who doesn't know how to say no?
I present to you No as a service: an API that returns a random rejection reason

And, shameless plug, if you don't like Microsoft's one, you can use my accessibility and interaction documentation toolkit, that comes with a designer's comprehensive checklist, and, a A4 poster with a "Minimum accessibility baseline" A4 poster you can print for your office
Web Accessibility Toolkit for Designers (checklist A4 poster Figma/Sketch/Penpot annotation kit)
Save time when designing, auditing mockups and documenting accessibility! Many accessibility issues can be caught and avoided in the design phase. And, I want to help you with that. Great documentation...

- If you work with a native windows tool, get a copy of this Windows UI kit (the Theme plugin doesn't work with this one though): www.figma.com/community/fi...
- If you need icons, I really like this plugin: www.figma.com/community/pl...

- If you work on a webtool, get yourself a copy of the Fluent 2 web Figma file: www.figma.com/community/fi...
- Then open the theme designer plugin and follow the instructions to brand it automagically to your main brain color (so much time saved): www.figma.com/community/pl...

If you have to design tools in the Microsoft ecosystem (PowerApp, Sharepoint, Windows) using Fluent 2, I got a couple of tools you want to bookmark:
- Start with the main Fluent website: you can find many guidelines, tools and resources: fluent2.microsoft.design/

Instagram makes billions but ignores basic video accessibility: proper closed captions, audio descriptions. Features are missing, even though Meta could easily build them. But it’s unlikely to happen until the regulatory or public pressure becomes financially too great to ignore. by Chris Yoog
