we decided to undress Each garment was dropped carelessly to the floor as we revealed the secrets of our flesh It took some time Our movements not being as nimble Our limbs not as lithe as before Stiff, feeble fingers fumbled adolescently with buttons, belts and clasps. Until we stood before one another Shrivelled Sagging Slack and In the buzzing glow of the electric fire. Beautiful

Lately, I had had some ambivalence, but whenever I use three six line stanzas there is no room for doubt.
I will put a reading in the comments.
IN POOR TASTE Before and behind, between and during illegal raids and kills, sour, greedy, he tongue kisses the slick mucilaginous inside of his balaclava, jerking himself off to the relish of hot dog cola burps and fear. His fuck buddy is ice too. They like to copulate standing up grinding their grimy uniforms against the dumpster behind a restaurant that won’t feed and water them or let their heinous herd defecate indoors. Zip-tied in a blacked out SUV fragile children can’t hold their noses to block the reek of vile ducts and unabashed discharge. They cannot say what it is but they do know it is not right.

4. Ermine Moths Before I became what I am I could only crawl, tell brightness from darkness, taste odours. Born in this half light so we would not be food we hid ourselves behind placed webs, made all darker while our mouths ate all sweet succulence, before each of us spun a hardness for ourselves where we grew tall noses, delicate wings to reach the sun. Abandon these bare stems our younger selves emptied all the juice out into us. World is now greenish blue. My long nostrils tell me she's not distant. Her taste unfurls. Age alters our senses remaking all. I sense outside this entwined, closed in tall.

NEW YEAR’S 2026 Beyond the nocturnal glow of urbane light, disabled clocks and phone calendars, failed notifications and morbid warnings accumulate in uncivil space, a barren avoidance, the obdurate stillness, a pencil case of pines, obliging God’s hidden hand to write to us love letters in the morning sky that the warbler reads aloud over our flannel shoulders.

REPEAL AND REPLACE shouldn’t have quit smoking and drinking in 2025 should have given up that shit in 1985 other people died in your world you were the fittest survivor eschewing the hoax of Affordable Care when healthy on the outside no premiums no copays no coverage no doctors no nurses no hospitals in driving distance nobody knew healthcare was so complicated as death becomes your familiar are you pleased with your choices are you happy you voted for Trump
