My kid read at 2-1/2 & got multiplication by returning deposit bottles. She hid her talents from playmates who thought it was odd. Only when she entered a gifted public kindergarten was she accepted. Create more gifted classes. Fix the others. Don’t trash what works.

Today I admired a fellow swimmer’s @Mets.com tote. I asked her where she got it and she said, “I raised a boy,” suggesting she had no connection to it. As a woman and avid Mets fan since 1970 who now shares my obsession with my daughters, I was speechless. She doesn’t know what she’s missing. #LGM!
