Reason number I-lost-count why I love this town: free movies at the United Palace Theater preceded by talk backs with Lin-Manuel Miranda and guests. This time it was Ari De Bose (of West Side story, which was the evening’s movie) and a surprise number from Hamilton for its 10th anniversary.

I haven’t watched much American TV since West Wing and Newsroom. But this caught my eye and I enjoyed it. Try Zero Day on Netflix.

Did the arched Portal North Bridge replacement span really float down the Hudson overnight with little publicity, missing the photo op potential at the GWB during daylight? If so, what a wasted chance for media to showcase the speed at which this key Amtrak project is moving.

The Edges of Ailey exhibit at The Whitney is an extraordinary, inspiring blend of art, music, dance and history that could not be more relevant. Oh, and I got this cool shot from the terrace.
