I feel there is a significant bias between STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) individuals and those in the humanities in China.

Politicians with babies used to be a big thing. Who would put their babies in the arms of Trump, Musk, RFK, or Vance? I can’t even remember seeing any of them smile. As distinct from gloat.

A better example: A president is making an important decision on controlling a pandemic. There are two potential solutions. The chance of the first solution is small, but once it succeeds, 99% of people will be saved. The second one is rather is depoly, but only 50% of people will be saved.
This might not be a good example because for a person who suffers from the disease, it is epistemology right for him to believe that he has a chance to be cured. By believing this, it could improve the chance of living.

I found out that ShenYun is quite famous in western society, because new episode @thedailyshow.com mentioned it with Hamilton and other great Musicals. I understand the importance of a diverse culture, but believe me, ShenYun isn’t, this thing is found by LiHongZhi who start a cult called FaLunGong

What disappointed me most is not that some could hold a false belief, but that false belief is challenged and one is not willing to change its false belief no matter how ridiculous of this belief.
