Perioidic reminder that the reason you didn't see autistic people with intellectual disabilities on the street five decades ago was not because they didn't exist. It's because they were sent away to institutions and their parents were told to put away pictures of them.

I emailed state senators asking, as the sibling of SPED students and as a professional working with SPED students, to please protect the DoE and IDEA. This is the slap-in-the-face response I received.

My mom told me my special needs sibling finally got approved for Medicaid after 6 years of applying and such. She is so thankful to FOTUS for this. I told her about how he actually paused Medicaid last week. She said it was an error in interpretation and poor president was being wrongfully attacked.
