For me a good analogy for what keeps happening when implementing LLMs into school.
So: is it alive? Or is it only pretending to be? In case of our robot guinea pigs, there's an easy answer - look what's inside! But with software, the answer might not be as easy.
We want to talk about machines pretending to be alive and how to deal with them, using a petting zoo of fluffy robots.

Es wäre dringend geboten, dass die Luft in Klassenräumen durch eine mechanische Belüftung hygienisch gehalten wird. Das sollte eine Lüftungsanlage mit Wärmerückgewinnung sein.

Es wäre dringend geboten, dass die Luft in Klassenräumen durch eine mechanische Belüftung hygienisch gehalten wird. Das sollte eine Lüftungsanlage mit Wärmerückgewinnung sein.

Für mich ist das ähnlich wie bei Harry Potter: Es gibt offenbar eine soziale Praxis, Star Wars gerne an Weihnachten anzusehen (Zeit & sich was Gutes tun,nostalgisch…), aber im Unterschied zu anderen Filmen (zB 3HfA: Film ohne Thema Weihnachten) keine dominante XMas-TV-Ausstrahlungsgeschichte.

It is EXHAUSTING not only being made responsible for coming up with new kinds of assignments for our students; it's also tedious reading op-eds that suggest the core problem is a crisis in teaching. But, as Chris and I lay out here, this isn't a crisis in teaching; it's an attack on learning.
