Traveling in a different country and these two devices always go with me. They help me avoid geo restricted content and age verification garbage restrictions. Travel router puts all my devices under one private network I control. The Firewalla monitors my traffic and run the multiple vpns i set up.

The DNS provider you use is just as important as the vpn provider you use. I use Quad9 because they don’t keep any identifiable logs and they don’t sell your data. The more you know….🤷‍♂️

If i were in the UK and wanted to avoid ID verification online I would change my DNS to Quad9 that supports DOT and DOH encryption. They are based in Switzerland and do not answer to any other government. I would get a vpn that is not headquartered in a 5,9 or 14 Eyes Data Sharing Alliance country.

When traveling love having my travel router and external firewall with me. Can vpn back home and same networking rules that are set up at home now apply to my travel devices (certain websites going through a vpn, blocking certain countries from contacting my network etc.) and monitor all devices.

If you have two internet connections that service your home and staying online is critical get a router that supports dual wan failover. If one Internet connection goes down the secondary connection automatically kicks in seamlessly keeping you online until your primary connection is restored.
