First year I've missed Slapstick and of course this happens.

Best time I went was the 2020 festival with the lovely Tim Brooke Taylor, Graham Garden, Barry Cyrer, Bill Oddie, etc 'I'm Sorry I'll Read that Again' and 'Goodies' events.

Happy it is still going strong, even with such losses. Support!
Harry Hill knows how to make an entrance!

It was great pleasure to have the legendary comedian in conversation with director Sean Foley on why Laurel and Hardy still matter and showcasing his favourites at Bristol Megascreen. See more from the event below 👇

Ian Dunt on the money, as always.
Why is every scandal existential for Starmer? Because he has actively worked to eradicate his own support base. And that, along with the Mandelson decision, can be laid at McSweeney's door iandunt.substack.com/p/starmers-m...

“Ew, no”. Her mag’ won’t swim in a pool with leaves. Yet she will jump into smelly river water and puddles.

Yes I will be donning a wet suit to sort this out for her nonetheless.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

Shapwick Heath and Ham Wall today after the RSPB bird count.

Watching the thousands upon thousands of starlings fight off a few predators with their dance, stealth, and solidarity. The Canada Geese flocking together noisily, The mute swans enduring it all.

Love to Minneapolis, solidarity.

Been banging on about this since pre-2016 twin calamities.

Also, EVERYBODY should read Carissa Veliz ‘Privacy is Power’. Repeatedly.

Well worth reading and sharing. Stay sane out there.
