Alexei said he wants people to write in to the BBC and ask if Stuff can be added to iPlayer.

You know what to do.
Just enjoyed Alexei Sayle talking about Stuff, including the time he told Floella Benjamin about his heroin addiction.

Andy Day gets added to the line of incredible comedians taking a pie at Slapstick Festival 🥧

He may have avoided the first attempt, but Stan the Slapstick Bear managed to catch Andy as the City of Bristol Brass Band played us out to Wallace and Gromit at @bristolbeacon.bsky.social 🎶

@slapstickfest.bsky.social Went to Before And Beyond yesterday at the Watershed. Thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment! Brilliant silent comedy gems, extremely watchable - much praise to the pianist who gave such great accompaniment to the films. Also good intros and comment from Lucy P & Pam H. ✅

Harry Hill + Laurel & Hardy @slapstickfest.bsky.social. My daughter's 28, we're both giant-Stouffer-sized Harry Hill fans but... she had NEVER seen Laurel & Hardy before! How lucky I was, child of the 80's & it was essential school holiday viewing. 'Wax eater' is our new insult of choice!
Harry Hill knows how to make an entrance!

It was great pleasure to have the legendary comedian in conversation with director Sean Foley on why Laurel and Hardy still matter and showcasing his favourites at Bristol Megascreen. See more from the event below 👇

First year I've missed Slapstick and of course this happens.

Best time I went was the 2020 festival with the lovely Tim Brooke Taylor, Graham Garden, Barry Cyrer, Bill Oddie, etc 'I'm Sorry I'll Read that Again' and 'Goodies' events.

Happy it is still going strong, even with such losses. Support!

Earlier this week I interviewed Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais for @slapstickfest.bsky.social. Brilliant comedy writers, their work has been a steady presence through many years of my life. We talked for 20 minutes about The Likely Lads for this afternoon’s event. Could have talked for hours.
