Don’t tell me she’s been “harassed off the internet”. It’s extremely not what happened.

Again I asked her privately to reconsider, she went ahead anyway, she doubled and tripled down, started comparing people to nazis, then eventually took down the list and ragequit from FOSS. That’s what happened.

Here’s an idea: people who want to flood FOSS spaces with proprietary slop should be shunned.

Aaaaaand unsurprisingly OP is now coming out in favor of proprietary software over libre software. Code dictators really have only one trajectory, turns out!

They finally started writing the "why not LLMs" section on the slopware repo and... I mean that last point is just flat out wrong. I'd make a comment about it on the PR but I feel like they wouldn't like my nuance. Also this is PR #67 heehee.

The gall of these people to write in their README "This is not a list created so you can go and give these projects trouble for their decision", but call it "Open Slopware" and go into people's projects to "notify" them about inclusion in the list. Absolutely vile behavior.
Notice of inclusion in open-slopware list · Issue #2336 · espeak-ng/espeak-ng
Hi, This is a polite notice that as a result of this PR and other LLM usage by core developer(s), this project has been included in https://codeberg.org/gen-ai-transparency/open-slopware#accessibil...

oh huh social shunning is the original explicit statement of purpose prior to the repo's existence. interesting. so it seems like the neutral "raise awareness" framing is just a flat out lie. the purpose of the list is to exert social pressure on the maintainers / contributors of the listed projects

ceding AI to the right is a generational poltical mistake and bullying LLM researchers off bluesky to cook their brains in twitter racism is a self defeating and foolish act from well meaning people deluding themselves into thinking intentional ignorance is a valid form of critique and resistance

This is what conservatives want to take away from us. Our way of life.
Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

Working with agents is so much fun. Over the last few days I've been developing a system of 3 agents: an author, which writes stuff according to the user's request and then invokes a critic agent, revises its output, loop until good enough, and an archivist to summarize and index what they made.
