Two of Texas’s greatest contributions to the world of music were born on the exact same day, November 6, in the exact same year, 1941. Guy Clark in Monahans and Doug Sahm in San Antonio. How about that?

She’d been working as a temp at Ernst & Young when her friend Ethan Hawke brought the song to @benstiller.redhour.com, who used it in “Reality Bites.”
