Large numbers of people called it before Trump even won the nomination: if elected, he would attempt to rule as a dictator. The prediction was based on who he WAS. Concerned people were called hysterical and derailed into pedantic "debates" about whether he was "really" a fascist or something else.

As I walked out of another shopping spree at Toudoukan I see that it was snowing. Didn’t make for the best walk back from the subway but still kind of nice to see. Let’s hope my jacket recovers.

Bryan was 100% right on the MJF/Ring discussion. The ring was a huge part of his character for the last six years and for it to go unaddressed here feels like a lost opportunity. They can obviously circle back to it after the PPV but he still wont be the winner.
WWE’s silly penchant for changing names came up earlier and it makes me think of Gunther. I LOATHED them changing his name. It was silly (still is). How often do I think about it? Not often.
Gunther is great. Loved the match and the finish. Can’t wait to see where he goes from here.

A good friend of mine has been a wrestling fan for decades. All companies. But was soured on AEW due to their fans. I thought he was overblowing it. After the last 12 hours, I can sort of see it. I’ll keep watching though since I’m a wrestling fan.

Sadly what was written on his cap this season is what I’ll always remember him for. Not his stellar pitching or finally breaking through in the postseason. It will always be him showing himself to be a bigot. Good riddance.
