things were headed in this direction when I left the academy. reading, writing, discussion—all the work of learning is being reframed as a burden on students that it would be better for professors to lift.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

A lot of that government/social activity has been replaced with simply making workers into consumers, and then making existence nigh impossible for all consumers who must hustle to simply get by, so that people with autism or other health/mental issues just fucken fall by the wayside and die off.

BlueSky is a bad site used by good people. That describes most social media sites. But BlueSky is egregiously unethical. Any of you can be disappeared for baseless reasons.
