After weeks of revision I just want to give a shout out to my #novel #editor @jmcm.bsky.social who has offered me such valuable advice, guidance and insight. As a fan of her writing I was open to her suggestions and have cut scenes and merged characters. All for the better. I'd highly recommend her👌

I had the pleasure of many great chats in recent years, having met Manchán through his family. Most recently sitting on the stairs of the Irish Writers Centre with our tea talking about the thin veil. A remarkable man who will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family.
