I woke up this morning, thinking my allergies were acting up, but now I’m pretty sure it’s a cold. 🙃 Bah. Gonna hedge my bets with allergy meds, but I think I’m in for a few days of feeling crummy. I’m very glad mom and I have had all our shots, at least.

Yes, my French is definitely coming along. I’m by no means truly fluent yet, but I went to the coffee shop and the pharmacy and spoke all in French with no problems. I went to the flower shop to get flowers for my mom’s birthday and chatted about global politics with the florist for 20 minutes -

So Pakistan is *paying* Qatar to *not* deliver LNG because even including this penalty payment their solar PV and battery spending is much better value for money and saves them billions.

I think way too many of us forget that you can just go out and do things that make you happy.

And now we’ve discovered there’s a problem with moisture against the foundation on two sides of the house. One side can be fixed easily with flashing and concrete. The other side, however, is likely going to mean that a trench has to be dug on part of the patio, then a waterproof barrier installed -

I did all my errands completely n French and no one said, “I can speak English. You don’t need to worry.” I’m taking this as a sign my French has improved enough that I sound like I know what I’m doing. Hooray!
