The most effective things we could do are defunding the military, building actually good public transportation, defunding the military, banning suburban tanks, defunding the military, and building actually good public transportation, but we can't do those things because F-35 go boom *sobs*
i think maybe we should do something about climate change

Also a good reminder that the bombs we are paying for that are falling on refugees are exacerbating climate crises like wildfire outbreaks in January.
LA fires are a good reminder that the only difference between me and any refugee is luck.

If you’re abandoning any meta platform, and you have a significant following, have you put in place plans for your disabled followers to still have community and reach for their MA requests?

Smoke inhalation — even for seconds - can impair consciousness.

To anyone in the immediate vicinity of this unprecedented fire in the nations most populous county, urgently heed the evacuation orders NOW.

Smoke is as dangerous as the flames behind them.

Millennials: “Yes dearie, it was. But then we lived through the pandemic, and realized life is too short for that shit.”

1. Oh so you CAN recognize genocide.

2. So why are we still sending weapons to the UAE and Saudi Arabia if we know they'll be used in genocide?

U.S. Says Sudan’s R.S.F. Committed Genocide and Sanctions Its Leader
A force fighting Sudan’s army in a brutal civil war committed massacres and rape that amount to genocide, the Secretary of State said, two decades after a finding of genocide in the same region.

Wildfires in January.

Shit ain’t normal y’all.
A view of the Palisades Fire in the Pacific Palisades area near Los Angeles, California.

The wildfire is at heightened risk due to the high winds.

I hope they put it out soon.

I’m not leaving Threads.

I’m not comfortable with the idea that Nazis can just take over one social media platform at a time until marginalized folks are entirely removed from public discourse. Another option is for us to refuse to be moved 🤷🏻‍♀️

There are exponentially more people who pay for sex work than there are people who provide it.

False rape accusations are absolutely fucking awful and they absolutely do ruin lives.

Just look at what’s going on in Gaza.

We should talk more about how for autistic women, who often miss red flags and signs of manipulation, “all men” is an even more necessary survival skill.

I keep thinking about these Dem voters shitting on Muslim/Arab voters and Glinda singing “I hope you’re happy” after she refused to join the cause with Elphaba.

Wicked is a story that distinguishes between being a performative ally and being a true accomplice;

Between neoliberalism and leftism;

Between intersectional and white feminism;

Between transactional and true love.

After spending about a week immersed in Chromokopia, I’m not sure I can handle the artistry I’m about to delve into with GNX.

It’s too much 😭

You gotta wonder what’s the use of an international body tasked with protecting humanitarian law when the biggest human rights violators have veto power.

White privilege is having the luxury of blaming marginalized groups for your fear that the same rights they aren’t afforded might be taken from you.

Hey fellow yt folks— colonizing somewhere else and cruise ships aren’t an ethical solution to a Trump presidency.

Trump is our problem to deal with.
