Since when is it a good thing that the $4T+ company propping up the entirety of the equities market feels the need to respond to each piece of non-positive news, including a Burry’s opinion on why he’s short?

Fugazi Market rallies on news that consumer confidence is in the gutter, the Fed might toss everyone a 25 bps bone so Xmas isn’t ruined, and the president is sending the FBI to congressional political opponents for “seditious behavior.”

Really questioning the value of the dollar at the moment.

These people would be nothing without the government backstopping them. And it’s actually kind of disgusting that people like Musk and Sacks—foreign born—get such a boost at tax payers’ expense and are at the helm of a roaring populism machine.
You have to keep giving money to avoid collapse and if there’s collapse you have to give more money. It’s called the free market.

Hegseth doesn’t even deserve to sniff Kelly’s jockstrap.
you fire right back at them and you FIRE RIGHT AWAY.

On the contrary, I’d wager (and I am wagering).

It’s anecdotal, but I have talked to two peers this weekend where their companies are freezing hiring and/or not replacing after attrition. I talked to another that said layoffs at their publicly traded mid-cap company are being primed.
Fed's Waller: There is no anecdotal evidence that firms are about to go on a hiring spree.

Went to Lowe’s around 9:30 AM today to get lumber, screws, construction adhesive, etc. for some garage storage. Two observations:

1) It was dead in there. Seasonal stuff looked full stocked.
2) Limber quality still sucks, if not worse than it has the past couple years.

Closed press so he gets to walk out after getting stunted on and claim victory. Bad idea.
1. lol

2. today's White House meeting with Mamdani is currently scheduled as "closed press," which means it might not be much of a showdown

Literally the only people unironically using “based” in the year of our lord 2025 are Russians on Reddit, X, and 4chan. And apparently our Department of Homeland Security social accounts.

Makes you wonder if Ukraine talking to Vance actually means more than talking to Trump.

Haha wtf isn’t that a kiss of death from Trump 1.0?

If this is true, how can he support a *50 bps* cut? Housing prices have not materially declined in response to market conditions, so cutting rates to unclog the jam instead of letting the market set the price is intervening to save a select few from risk. This guy is disingenuous trash.
MIRAN SAYS FINANCIAL CONDITION THAT MATTERS MOST IS HOUSING

So the market rallies on rate cut hopes still being alive, but now he also points out that reliable data is important. They won’t get data until after the Dec decision. Sell the rip.
Fed's Williams: It's important to have accurate & reliable data sources

I recently opened a small short on IBM. This company has seemingly laundered their reputation as one of the most hated, but the grapevine says that reputation is still there. Terrible products and terrible customer support.

Using your paid Gemini subscription in your IDE of choice is kind of a pain in the ass.

But this also shows how top tech companies make users their testers. Remember that when you hop in a self-driving Tesla.
Amusing: Google does not allow its devs to use its newly launched IDE, Antigravity, for development.

Classic example of “externalisation” at Google: they have an *internal* (increasingly different!) version of it, but they won’t use what they launched to everyone else

Imagine a company replacing their white collar workforce with this. All agents deployed would do this. There is no top performer or golden child, they’ll all strategically underperform at some point. And you’d need smart people around to know when it’s doing this.

It’s hilarious to think about.
