As much of a pain in the ass all this divorce stuff is, I did make some good decisions along the way:
1) A marriage contract. Although we disagree over interpretation over some things, my cottage is safe.
2) Speaking of safe, so is my pension. And this job was a GOOD decision, given the pension.

This process is so important, no matter your age. My updated will and powers of attorney were not very expensive.

Alas, the lady I met in the neighbourhood who definitely showed signs of a spark with me, has retreated into a shell of safety. We had dinner this evening, talked for five hours.
And yet, the romantic spark has seemingly faded.
