Resilience is related to vitality, and by that I mean the ability to move through experience, to feel it all—the grief and the goodness. It allows for the rising up and falling away that is the cycle of life. Resilience is a dancer that moves with the music of the seasons and the sudden sounds.

None of us have a full or clear answer on how to proceed or what actions to take. We might feel frozen or numb given the rate of the unraveling. And yet, I believe it’s crucial for us to get out of our houses and off of our screens and gather together.

Turning the question inward is one way to avoid the all-too-common spiritual bypass that happens in wellness circles where we leave feeling temporarily soothed but ultimately unresolved and under-resourced because the root of our anxiety is never addressed.
