Since it's already 3/11 in JST: Happy Anniversary to my favorite person and Happy 30th to Chrono Trigger!

The additions and changes to #DQ1 HD-2D made this feel like a fresh play of the game. From NES to mobile to now, each version has been so fun for me.

Getting an elaboration on the story and seeing more details makes me want to replay DQ Builders 1, finish the remake of 3, and then replay 11. 😭⚔️

Bought Crush the Industry since it was on sale for ~$4 and amused as heck.

Def up my alley (roguelike, deckbuilder, great pixel art, etc.), makes me wanna revisit Going Under. But dang am I glad to be out of that industry (though it's not like the grass is necessarily greener on the other side 😂).

#DQ1 was the first RPG I ever played and finished as a kid, and every time I have played a new port or version of it, it just keeps getting better and better.

These DQ HD-2D remakes are freaking gorgeous and bring tears to my eyes.

Played this a long time ago on Vita but never finished the story, so used this time between Hades 2 and before DQ 1&2 next week to do just that.

Now can't unhear the narrator here as Homer and some other overlapping sound effects (similar to compelling shades, choosing a boon, etc.) 😆

History: The origins of this rich stew is debated: from Pampanga, from Moro communities in the Philippines, from other Southeast Asian influences, from Indians deployed to Manila by the British, or during Spanish colonization My memories as a Filipino American: Kare kare was one of those dishes I didn't really like as a kid, but savor more as an adult. Even though I liked peanut butter and other nutty flavors, having it in a meat stew was slightly offputting to my little taste buds. While my mom got oxtail and beef regularly, she would occasionally make a chicken kare-kare which I ate a little bit more of, maybe because the sauce slipped off the meat a bit more. I liked having these little bites by themselves, too, even when they hardened up from being in the fridge, but warming them up and dipping them into the rich, dark, tangy diniguan sauce in between spoonfuls of rice and meat was so fun and satisfying.

Successfully got all #Hades2 achievements before Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake releases in a couple weeks!

There's still other content I want to complete (though, not sure I care for clearing any runs above Fear 32 lol), but happy to have gotten this done. These two sets look good together. 🔥

Masking is normal behavior, but people choose to be weird about it because they want to stay ignorant or dismiss concerns.

The U.S. is a "sickcare" society instead of an actual "healthcare and wellness" society, leaning more towards reacting instead of actually being proactive and preventative.

Been playing the #DragonQuest Smash/Grow closed beta and enjoying it as a little side game, though it does make me miss DQ Tact a bit.

Was just having a convo about this last week.

It's frustrating because even when people understand these things are happening and it's really bad, there is little to no effort to continue the discourse outside of immediate circles, maybe in part because they aren't feeling or seeing the effects.
