Unnamed characters in Star Trek were never safe, but god damn, season 2 is almost taking a psychopathic glee in merking red shirts. At this rate the body count's gonna be very high by season's end. #StarTrekTOS

Had a good time playing the original earlier this year, so I'm excited to finally hop into this.

Denmark once more delivering quality cinema. Second Victims is really strong, an emotionally charged and claustrophobic medical drama that explores a really horrific situation. Özlem Saglanmak and Trine Dyrholm are marvelous. It's one hell of a directorial debut from Zinnini Elkington.

Wouldst thou like to live deliciously, Charlie Brown?
Do you read Sutter Cane, Charlie Brown?
Don't worry, Charlie Brown, he's just admiring the shape of your skull.

Shamefully I've never seen Lilo & Stitch before. Sequels, TV show, Kingdom Hearts appearances, yes, but not the original. So I decided to rectify that. Absolutely wonderful. Warm, funny, and having so much affection for its characters, it's an ode to the odd and an overall lovely family adventure.

So Hedda was a bit of fun. Claustrophobic, conniving, and a bit camp, it's an enjoyable little psychological drama-thriller. Tessa Thompson and Nina Hoss are marvelous.

Watched Train Dreams. Really solid little drama featuring an outstanding performance from Joel Edgerton.

I know I could buy a UK copy, but I still find it baffling that Sinners hasn't gotten a dedicated Nordic blu-ray. Like, why?

There's something so funny about how casually the green hand clasps the ship. Looks less like it imprisons a full vessel, and more like someone picking up a cookie. #StarTrek

The Unholy Trinity doesn't exactly reinvent the wheel, and even what it does reuse from other stuff isn't exactly of the highest quality. But for what its worth, it's a pretty fun little western with good performances and some pretty well staged action scenes.

There's a moment in Prisoner of War, at an hour and 35 minutes, where, faintly in the background, you can hear the Godzilla roar. And yes, I did rewind a few times just to make sure I wasn't having a stroke.
Anyway, the movie's alright. Decent fights, solid direction, Adkins is reliably gruff.

Finally sat down to watch Del Toro's take on Frankenstein. Really enjoyed it, it's a little odd in its flow, but I did overall enjoy the storytelling. Production is incredible (as should be expected from GDT). Entire cast is great, but Jacob Elordi is the standout here, he is marvelous.

My latest review is of Edgar Wright's #TheRunningMan, and whilst it pays faithful homage to King's novel, it's far too lightweight to carry its themes through. My thoughts for @moviemarker.bsky.social.
