I have this weird, like, aggressive passivity about me. It feels like I’m so chill about stuff that it influences others to take it easy. People doze off mid-conversation with me. It’s fine. I genuinely prefer relaxed people to high-strung!

Road workers outside my bedroom window going on a year and a half now.
They commence work at 4 a.m. and the first thing they do is throw all their equipment into reverse. There’s one squeaky machine they use to run laps around the median in the street.
The road looks worse than before.

Recently edited a fan wiki with the CORRECT words to a thirty-five year old novelty song (which I know to be correct because the song was stuck in my head for five days).
Each time someone else edits it back the wrong way, I get notified — and the song gets back into my head again. 😓😓😓

Through my research I’ve discovered a trove of photographs from 1890, and although I didn’t find the specific building I’m looking for… I DID find several taken from the front stoop (immediately behind the photo)! 😓😓😓

The news about Rob Reiner has me pretty shaken.
I grew up with him on television. I still watch him almost every night. He felt like he was part of my family — no matter where I was living in the world, I knew his face would welcome me on my TV and provide comfort to a lonely traveler. 😢

In 1996, my campus radio station played this album on repeat for three days. It’s still available on CD (they’re down to four copies!), and it’s a pretty pleasant listen if you’re into the old traditional tunes!
