This is why I try to still buy CDs.
I make $20 every six monthsish on the combined streams of all four of my albums on all streaming sites. At Bandcamp I make about $10 every time I sell an album, physical or download. Use Spotify if you want, but if you like living artists making a living, buy something from them where they get paid.
Who would have foreseen that by effectively stealing music from artists by stopping paying out on songs that have less than 1000 streams in the past 12 months would result in a first ever annual profit for Spotify?

Intriguing proposal from the Spanish PM today to end anonymity on social media. Hard to see why global platforms would agree to it. And privacy advocates would have a fit.
But he does have something of a point, especially given that almost all EU countries have mandatory national ID laws already.
