The Boy From The Dog Hole
@thedogholeboy.bsky.social
Washington Co Durham lad (exiled down south for 37+ years). Supports Newcastle United and Guildford City. Dabbles in footy match photography. Known for being a history bore.
Non woke supporter of the Labour Party
I don't normally go online to whine and moan but we were so slow and complacent against a team struggling it was jaw dropping. Some of our star players need to have a long look in the mirror as this is not a one off this season #nufc

Haha this is so it 😂😂😂

I feel emboldened by today, but Gordon has not been the player we all fell in love with. I have never been a boo boy and never will but it's the old question of will a manager play a fave rather than who's in form. Hopefully he shoves this down my throat (ooer) #nufc

Gordon. A conversation needs to be held. Long term not just this WHU game by any stretch #nufc

The British Labour Party is stuck between far right Trump loving xenophobes and far left Britain hating islam loving jihadists. What times we live in.

Totally agree with kicking back against the Green Party. They are not our friends or comrades.

@guildfordhoward.bsky.social Town bridge on Saturday. Green party chap holding up an anti reform placard near them. I went over and had a chat and said I agreed with him. We had a nice convo until I said I was Labour. He went a wee bit cool then 😂

I just got the bus from Farnham to Aldershot and every single lamp post on the way, and in the town has a union flag. I think they look beautiful 🇬🇧

@backbridget.bsky.social I'm going to Back Bridget. A fellow alumni of St Robert's comp in Washington - although she was a few years behind me.

Imagine my surprise as a man whose family goes back 200 years working in the Durham coal mines to find out through ancestory dot com that I not only descend from John of Gaunt (and therefore his kingly father) but through two of his Beaufort children. #history #familyhistory #beaufort #ancestory

Three recommendations if you're into fifteenth century English history. The Matthew Lewis and Philippa Langley titles in have really made me reassess my views on Richard III's guilt. Shadow King made me feel sorry for that sad fool Henry of Lancaster, poor sod never stood a chance. #HistoryBookChat

The mighty Guildford City found themselves 0-2 down but fought back to claim a good point with a 2-2 draw. Photos will be posted later #football

First Guildford City game of the season. Match photography incoming later this evening. Unless I get drunk later then it will be in the morning

Imagine my surprise to see this in my local WHSmith down in deepest Surrey. It might be naff but it has to be bought regardless #NUFC

How exactly does this help the ordinary Palestinian? It's all performative. Middle class liberals have given up on their own working classes as being not sufficiently biddible and therefore look elsewhere to make themselves feel righteous.

Too many Palestine activists are simply unhinged. Good on the Met on this occasion.

I don't care what other parties do but Labour should take a stand. All our MP's need to divest themselves of rented properties if they want to be Labour MP's.

The last month feels like #NUFC have regressed to how things used to be for us. Incompetent and hopeless. We can't allow Liverpoo to force a sale at less than market value just because Isak has downed tools. If this is really it for Isak we should not allow him to use nufc facilities to train

I don't think Rushanara Ali should just lose her ministerial position, she should resign her seat in the commons. I'm very angry about this scandal. My position is if you are a private landlord who wants to stand as a Labour candidate then you can jog on.
