The trade deadline has closed, so they couldn’t trade anyone. They could have signed someone who has seen the field in the last 4 seasons, or maybe found a side deal with an agent possibly but even that’s risky.

I am guessing it’s more about the issue that the Dodgers went back to back and are showing no signs of slowing down. Adding millions on top of an already large payroll to do it again and let’s be real. They are going to dole out another 250-300 mil contract again this off season.
