Wow. As a triangulating set of comments on a man's best character (when he had so much to be conceited about, or worse), this takes some beating. What a man. Enough to bring a tear to the eye. More like him desperately needed: www.theguardian.com/film/2025/se...

Lots of stand outs but I thought Leah Williamson was superb - not a foot wrong in the actual match. Even her saved penalty was decent producing a great save. Carter and Bronze also brilliant. Bronze also wins the “clearly most fun at a party award”.

Blackfriars is pretty hard to beat for stations with views from the platform. Where else would you nominate?

If Reform breaks apart what next? Provisional Reform? Real Reform? Continuity Reform? People’s Reform of Great Yarmouth (Splitters)?….Reclaim Reform? Reform Reclaimed?

Trump is going to buy a Tesla. Yep, that’s going to repair the brand damage. I can see sales booming in Harlan County etc.

Events across the Pond mean it has never been more important that we have principled and effective political and legal limits on wide delegations of rule making/rule dispensing power, esp Henry VIII powers. What is needed IMO is an enforceable articulation of the principle of separation of powers.

Those Georgetown ULC graduates who have just taken a job at Perkins Coie must be feeling pretty narked this morning. This is what a full blooded executive assault on the Rule of Law looks like.

Strong Henry VIII vibes in this EO.

Gene Hackman. What an actor. No one did menace/tough/bad guy like him: FC1 and 2, Mississippi Burning, Unforgiven. But then, my personal fave, The Converstion. What a film.

Bowling fast at CDC, Medicaid, DoJ, FBI; batting very hard for the Tate brothers (“friends of ours” due some payback for helpful social media influencing). These people are who their actions say they are.

The question the White House Press Corps have to ask themselves is “At what point do we become complicit”? Holds power to account - not holdouts to power accounts.
