I'm a fictional human sacrifice just like Jesus. How come no one worships me?
We can't just #EatTheRich. Others will just replace them. We have to #BurnDownTheKingsRoad
Progressive, but not the cut off my nose to spite my face kind.

Why is no one talking about how the Republicans' mid-decade redistricting could backfire? By taking existing safe seats and trying to create more, they have to spread their voters more thinly in each, increasing the chances that we can flip those seats. The 2026 blue wave might be a tsunami.

The establishment democrats have repeatedly shown they do not have the wherewithal to repel the fascist onslaught of Trump and the oligarchs.
They helped get us into this mess, one cowardly capitulation at a time.
They are not the ones to lead us out of it.

There's the proof right there that the decision was made as a caucus, and 8 sacrificial lambs not up for reelection were chosen to shield the rest.
I am committing right now that I will donate to ANYONE who primaries ANY @democrats.org Senator up for reelection in 2026. I encourage you to join me.

The art of folding a winning hand
This thread, in which Senator Whitehouse defends his colleagues, even while pretending he opposed the agreement, makes clear this was a caucus decision, and the 8 senators were hand selected as safe fall guys. I encourage you to vote for the primary opponent of ANY Senator up for reelection in 2026.
Many feel betrayal and frustration, and the feelings are hot right now.
I get it. I have my own feelings.

Senate Democrats walked away empty-handed, and don’t let anyone tell you different.
Tim Kaine and the others bought the lie that Republicans would negotiate on extending the ACA subsidies. They won’t.
Dems got played, Schumer failed to keep his caucus together, and the American people got nothing.

HERE'S HOW TO FIGHT against weak Democratic and Independent "leadership", that caved on the shutdown:
If you live in a state represented by one of these COWARDS, look up the recall election rules of such state and start collecting signatures to throw them out BEFORE the end of their terms!!!!

Cuck & his Senate waited until after the election to pull off their scheme bc they KNEW it would hurt D numbers.
As soon as they got our votes, they betrayed us and made a deal to please their donors, choosing "yes's" that couldn't be touched.
@chrismurphyct.bsky.social PROVE ME WRONG. DEPOSE HIM.

It's a bit of a catch-22. A big part of what makes a person liberal is empathy & pragmatism. Unfortunately, those attributes tend not to serve you well in a negotiation.
Pragmatism makes you afraid of the big ask. And empathy makes you afraid of the consequences. It's why Democrats are such cowards

It's time we start making them afraid.
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Yes, we desperately need politicians who stand for something other than self-preservation.
Bring on the Progressives. Boot out the establishment.
I am so sick of them.

You seriously couldn't make up fiction this lame. No one would believe it.
How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Any Democrat who "trusts" notoriously deceitful Republicans to keep their word on an ACA vote deal is too naive/stupid to be in office.
Let's fix that next time they are up for election. #PrimaryTheIdiots

Of course they did. It's getting increasingly difficult to believe they are actually this incompetent. The word complicit begins to come to mind instead.
Remember when some of us said the Democratic leadership would take all the wrong lessons from the blue tsunami and squander all the goodwill?
Here you go.
