I'm a fictional human sacrifice just like Jesus. How come no one worships me?

We can't just #EatTheRich. Others will just replace them. We have to #BurnDownTheKingsRoad

Progressive, but not the cut off my nose to spite my face kind.
He'll do nothing and blame the Democrats for it.

I can hear this picture.

That takes some audacity. Too bad they don't bring that same kind of audacity to their negotiations with Republicans.

They don't understand that the game has changed. They're acting like they're still dealing with 1980s Republicans. They are not equipped to play this game. We desperately need to put the old guard out to pasture and get some new blood in the Democratic Party.

The establishment democrats have repeatedly shown they do not have the wherewithal to repel the fascist onslaught of Trump and the oligarchs.

They helped get us into this mess, one cowardly capitulation at a time.

They are not the ones to lead us out of it.

Yep, so this was a caucus decision. Every single @democrats.senate.gov up for reelection in 2026 should be primaried. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
November 11, 2025 at 4:16 AM
That really is the bottom line. Things are pretty awful, but the fact is that the majority of Americans are going about their lives mostly unbothered. People think it's just the usual Democrat/Republican bickering and, apparently, won't understand how different it is until the whole country crashes.

This was a caucus decision. The 8 are "safe" sacrificial lambs offered up because they're not up for reelection in 2026. EVERY SINGLE Democratic senator up for reelection in 2026 should be primaried.

Window dressing. Somehow, magically, just enough Democrats in the House will vote yes for the deal to pass.

Democrats buying a car: "I'm going to need you to come down $3000 on the price."

Salesperson: "I can't do that, but I'll tell you what I'll do for you - I'll throw in a free air freshener."

Democrats: "You've got a deal!"
November 11, 2025 at 1:58 AM
Yes, the entire Democratic caucus thinks were that stupid. This was clearly a caucus decision. I encourage everyone to vote for the primary opponent of ANY Democratic senator up for reelection in 2026.
November 11, 2025 at 1:47 AM
Liar!! I USED TO respect you.
November 11, 2025 at 1:44 AM
With all due respect, Senator, do you really think Democratic voters are stupid enough not to realize that the "safe" senators are taking the fall here as a shield for the rest of you? I, for one, will encourage all Dems to vote for the primary opponent of ANY Senator up for re-election in 2026.

To be fair, the deal calls for a vote on a bill drafted by Democrats, so probably won't have those kinds of poison pills in it. This whole situation is still a disaster, but not for that reason.
November 11, 2025 at 1:31 AM
So you voted no but you're justifying why your colleagues voted yes? In other words, you were part of the same back room deal that hand selected senators who are not up for reelection in 2026 to be the fall guys for a deal the whole caucus agreed to? That makes you no better than the rest.
