I finished reading Burn Book today and loved it! It’s given me a lot to think about ethics in tech as I reflect on my time working at a couple of startups.
Watching the brilliant @karaswisher.bsky.social on The View dissecting the "adult toddler," Musk, who is "frequently wrong, but never in doubt," was poignant & enlightening. But titling Trump the "Coin Operated President" was the cherry on top.

Last full day in Arizona! We escaped the Escape Room in Scottsdale, had a huge prime rib dinner, and watched The Gorge tonight. Also played silly, made up bar games tonight. Very fun way to end the long weekend!

Another great day in Paradise Valley! Thin pancakes for breakfast, souvenir shopping in Old Town Scottsdale, fancy teppanyaki dinner, then we watched the SNL 50th anniversary special. Good times!

Been enjoying the long weekend with family in Paradise Valley, AZ! Much warmer than the snowy & icy PNW we left behind. Had a great time at the Desert Botanical Garden yesterday and playing chapter 1 of Escape the Crate.

Last week so so weird at work! School was cancelled Mon-Wed for snow days then Thur was a 3-hour delay for inclement weather. I’m looking forward to a more normal week at work tomorrow.
Not watching the Super Bowl today but I will be checking score updates to see if I get lucky on my pool. 🤞

Had an amazing 4-day weekend in San Jose! We had a late Christmas getaway celebration at the Chaminade Resort in Santa Cruz and then celebrated Dennis’ birthday last night. Flying home now on a very empty plane. 💪

Finally reading “One Life,” the biography of Sir Nicholas Winton and how he saved hundreds of children during WWII. This short passage stood out and made me sad that we are repeating history.

This is what we mean when we talk about corporate greed: Starbucks gave its CEO $96 million for just 4 months of work. Meanwhile, Starbucks is refusing to offer a raise of more than 50 cents an hour to 12,000 union workers.
