Chris Zukowski published this chart in one of his recent blogs. It helped me really conceptualize how hard games are to get done. Our current model is small games, with deep gameplay loops -- and whacky mechanics. Make smaller games and MORE GAMES DEVS!

1 Week Update!! 🙌 Really enjoying the Godot engine, I made the right decision to move to it. I also picked up Blender for the first time which is amazing!

My plan is to spend 6-9 months at a time creating small polished games. I'll learn faster, and I think it'll give me a better chance of actually making something that people like. Y'know, spaghetti against the wall or whatever.

I planned on releasing my game on steam and joining the steam next fest but unfortunately, my country (Nigeria) isn't supported under the steam partner program.

I've spent the last 24 hours sulking about it. I guess I'll delay till I find a solution. 😞

The way the game industry seems to be heading, I don’t think we’re going to see new and creative video games coming from the big names like we used to in the 80’s, 90’s and maybe early 2000’s.

We’ll need to look to indie developers for the new and creative games now.
