Come walk with me at North Albany County Park in my neighborhood. The fog makes for such moody photos.

I am absolutely flabbergasted that people order books described as "like new" and get ex-library books and books missing dust jackets.

Is that just expected now?

Because when I say Fine, I mean FIIIIIINE.

We were driving to the campground on the coast of Vancouver Island and we came across this river flowing through a mass of boulders. Quite impressive.

I’ve been searching for fungi on traveller’s joy (Clematis vitalba) for ages and thought I’d finally found one, about 40 tiny caps, just 1–1.5 mm across, smooth inside.

Possibly Moss Ear (Chromocyphella muscicola), in which case it’s growing on the moss, not the climber.

ai is too powerful a tool for society to handle. i used to think there was a slim chance it could be, given that it allowed my late husband to continue communicating and creating after he lost the use of his hands due to ALS, but there was a point of no return we've passed that makes it unusable now

I still think the only legit place for gen ai is helping the disabled continue to live a comfortable life

My late husband was able to continue communicating long after he lost the use of his hands from ALS because of gen ai. And the text to speech helped a lot too.

Grief doesn't play by the rules. This is a watercolor print that's available called "Where Do We Go From Here?", that expresses exactly how I feel. Thanks for hanging in there with me. I'll be back 100% soon I hope. 🧡

coming back to the land of cell service after a morning hike near the russian river and then immediately learning about the killing of renee good is really jarring reminder of the extremes of beauty and depravity that coexist on this planet
