Finished the latest Dresden Files, I enjoyed it...feels like a bit of a reboot. It's a more rounded story than the recent ones - I thought they'd lost their way a bit but I think it still leans into the flawed Messiah trope a bit too much.

I'm watching through Joan Hickson Miss Marples - they really are remarkable - she was a remarkable actress...she could just act with a look - as she peers over her knitting. But also, what is remarkable is how little she is in it, it is also a masterpiece in story telling...

Sometimes working with the AI-enabled coding tools (don't judge, I need to understand them for work) is like dealing with the brightest junior developer in the world. And you find yourself asking - why are you trying to develop this from first principles - use the f-ing libraries that I told you to!

In my question for the perfect keyboard - I've just received my Keychron q16 HE 8K that I backed on kickstarter - the feel is fantastic...Magnetic switches and ceramic body and keycaps...The actual weight, well - just like my old IBM keyboard - I think I could use it to defend myself!!

I have owned Macs in the past but not used in anger for some time at home. What has impressed me is the number of apps that I bought from the app store in the past, are still available, updated, sometimes with major features and I don't need to pay again.
