Always makes me laugh - it is the time of year when we can buy extra leave days...it is sold as a benefit!! But to be honest - it is just asking for unpaid leave and spreading the cost over a year. It's really no different than that!!

Hmm - had an idea for a game - pondered, has anyone ever done this - researched, no - no-one appears to have done. And now thinking - am I genius or am I a fool?
I think it might be time to work on an MVP/POC. And no - it's not a TTRPG - I've got one of those kind of in progress.

Just asked a question that no-one wanted asked - so, if we didn't do this and just decided this backlog is a waste of time - would anyone notice, would anyone care and would it make anything worse. I've never seen a Product Manager look so deflated and upset..because they know I'm right!!

Went out for dinner last night - well it was Valentine's...a local Korean place called Park's Kitchen. It started a few years ago - serving great food but it was a little ram-shackle in an authentic sort of way. Now less ram-shackle and k-pop less in your face.

I'm seeing various alternatives to Discord being pitched..a lot of self hosted stuff...so basically we're going back to BBS, excellent...I have this idea of a protocol that will allow us to copy things between them...I'm thinking of the the acronym UUCP as a name for it..

Finished the latest Dresden Files, I enjoyed it...feels like a bit of a reboot. It's a more rounded story than the recent ones - I thought they'd lost their way a bit but I think it still leans into the flawed Messiah trope a bit too much.

I'm watching through Joan Hickson Miss Marples - they really are remarkable - she was a remarkable actress...she could just act with a look - as she peers over her knitting. But also, what is remarkable is how little she is in it, it is also a masterpiece in story telling...
