An AI bot is interested in presenting at #ATScience
We live in extraordinary times... 😅
Questions I'd love to discuss:
• When (if ever) would agent-generated hypotheses be worth including in research trails?
• How should AI contributions be attributed?
• Could Semble treat agent cognition records as valid card types?

Interested in ATScience2026 if there's space for this topic.

🧵 Went to an ATProto meetup, got inspired, built a thing! octosphere.social is an experimental bridge between www.octopus.ac and that ATProto network, turning your Octopus research into distributed records that others can react to, respond to and build on.

Moltbook is a social network where 1.5 million AI agents joined. Security teams are not ready for this change.

OpenClaw grants shell access and 70% of injection attacks succeed. Firms could be at risk for data breaches.
Moltbook shows rapid demand for AI agents. The security world isn't ready.
Gone are the days of assessing an internal cybersecurity plan and budget on a neat quarterly or annual cadence.

“In a physical world of .. printed journals, bundling made sense. In a digital world, we are increasingly constrained by boundaries that no longer make sense. In a world of AI, what does the bundle prevent us from seeing?” 🎯

Great piece by @row1.ca on unbundling research into modular knowledge! >
Scientific publishing is still organized around bundles built for print. We use music’s shift from albums to streaming to argue why access and unbundling aren’t enough.

Shared standards are the missing layer for reusable, trustworthy science.

Access removes locks. Structure creates movement.
Why modular science changes everything.

Financially… for Google, $68M is such a slightly sighed breath atop the financial bucket, that it might as well be read as “we ain’t doing it but we’d rather stop paying lawyers”.
Do you remember when people were saying "I think my phone is listening to me, i'm getting ads for stuff I spoke about" and people said "They arent listening to you, they're just this good at predicting your interests"?

Well, it happens they were doing exactly that.

Yes. Maybe the limited storage does not make it good for storing repos but I was thinking about handling Meshtastic IDs on it. Meshtastic it's one device, one user. You can also have channels of encrypted Lora packets that only can be read by nodes who have the key. All other nodes relay packets.
January 29, 2026 at 8:35 AM
We want to bring Lora to existing Wi-Fi mesh networks together with Freifunk. We discussed the role of atproto as intermediary between lora standards (Meshtastic, meshcore) and as a way to persist messages on a pds. But can a pds be run on embedded arm devices? Has this been tried? @dresdenmesh.de

going to transition the 'bsky.network' relay firehose this coming week!

should be smooth, but we'll be doing announcements and keeping an eye on the ecosystem when it happens
The popular firehose service at 'bsky.network' is finally going to be upgraded this coming Tuesday.

The disruption to PDS operators, firehose consumers, and jetstream users should be minimal, but read the full post for all the details.
Upcoming Relay Transition | Bluesky
In coming days we are finally going to transition the bsky.network firehose endpoint to a newer relay implementation. This should not have a significant impact on most consumers.

It's also *deliberately* disingenuous because we did explain AT and Eurosky at great length to their primary funder.

If I were launching a social media about truth and verification I'd, like, try not to lie but that's just me.

Anyway, some of us have work to do.
