Solo dev doing the full workflow, but down for some collaboration. Mainly showcasing Nova Catalyst, my 2D MOBA with a scrappy, fighting game feel.
Trying to stay away from one rabbit hole and I've fallen into another. I'm so grateful these kind of tools exist. Despite being clueless what I'm doing, this actually sounds really good.

And here's a look at one way I found to prototype animations. Before blockouts, I'll rush animations with some sort of indicator for the animation and a text descriptor for the action. Not a minimum viable product but fit for making something that feels like a game

I'm trying to stick only to animating in my downtime since I'm supposed to be doing other things IRL, but I see I have no self restraint 😅. Anyway here's an offworlder to the setting's otherwise fantasy setting in Nova Catalyst. A cyborg take on the tomboy mechanic archetype.

Not sure if it's a good time to name drop yet, but I'm calling the project Nova Catalyst; I like the sound of NoCa. Sadly, I need to stop working on the project for personal goals. I'll be to it soon. Hard to work around moving and a 9-5.

I increased the prototype character's sprite size and collider size, and now I can't get back to my first experimental spawn area. Oh my God, it's just like Sword A-- It's just like that trope of the hero outgrowing their home. Also usernames and titles.

This is like Silksong for me. I bet it releases first too.
Sword Combos in #AlabasterDawn

Here we show off the different kinds of combos you can do with the sword!
You have lots of creative freedom with chaining different attacks into each other!

And here's another of my niche projects: a logic gate circuit board in Virtual Circuit Board on Steam. A screenshot of it actually running a program, albeit with only 4 working instructions. And I'm not even sure the whole execution loop is normal. It's just something I made up on the spot.

I feel like I'm rising over that curve in the 80/20 rule and honestly I'm anxious about moving on to every next goal. It's ok tho. Every time I implement something new, I get to slow things down and fix whatever it breaks. BSky devs, care to share some of your #gamedevblunders ?

#GodotEngine #indiedev new here and apparently just in time for #screenshotsaturday. I'll mostly be logging progress updates for my MOBA project. Here's my most recent milestone of bare minimum multiplayer mechanics. Pardon the boring sprites. It's just how I prototype. Follow for rambling and more.
