There’s no rule that says the universe has to make things easy on us. Often it doesn’t! Dark matter *could* be essentially undetectable— but most promising models do suggest viable detection strategies. ⚛️
This actually would be one of the most diabolical forms of dark matter.
As I say in seminars and talks, if dark matter were made up of something the size and mass of a snowball, we'd be pretty screwed.
