Not that I don't think there aren't reasonable critiques to be made of the album, but "Thriller is overrated" has become something of a signifier for me that me and the other person approach music from two fundamentally different places

Was in a bit of a music slump for a while (why I didn't post last week), but these three albums heralded a great comeback. Big Body is the highlight of these for me, I've been listening to it practically nonstop. It's so bouncy, melodic, and unique sounding. Another common Hirasawa banger.
Invisible – El jardín de los presentes (1976)
P-Model – Big Body (1993)
Depeche Mode – Ultra (1997)

Oh shit, I forgot to mention yesterday that I finally beat Abs Rad on ascended. With that, beating the whole pantheon feels realistically in reach.

Haven't really been posting about it (what else is new) but I've really been enjoying BSG. Season season is a nice step up from the first.

Does no one else think it's completely insane that students can use ChatGPT or whatever to generate as many fake essays as they want, but I have to pay what little money I have to use these plagiarism/AI detectors so I actually have something resembling proof

Really solid week. Violator is the clear highlight here, reaffirming my growing love for electronic music. Others are great continuations of artists that were on this list last week.
Kanye West – Late Registration (2005)
Gustavo Cerati – Fuerza Natural (2009)
Depeche Mode – Violator (1990)
Jethro Tull – Thick as a Brick (1972)

Busy month so I didn't really get around to anything other than music. But still a strong month in that sense, these four highlights especially.
Best of October:

1. Edge of Sanity – Crimson (1996)
2. Gustavo Cerati – Bocanada (1999)
3. D'Angelo and the Vanguard – Black Messiah (2014)
4. Snoop Dogg – Doggystyle (1993)

Gee I haven't really been qping these, have I? I've been posting my four favorite albums of the week every Friday but I don't have a lot to say about them. Excited to finally be listening to Kanye, though. The rest are solid step ups from bands I've already listened to.
Kanye West – The College Dropout (2004)
Run the Jewels 2 (2014)
Depeche Mode – Music for the Masses (1987)
Jethro Tull – Aqualung (1971)
