Here’s my write up on the most racist decision to come out of the Supreme Court in a while. The court approved of Trump’s racial profiling of Latinos with Brett Kavanaugh saying being harassed based on the color of your skin is “common sense.”

The Supreme Court Just Gave the OK to Racial Profiling
The court’s ruling allowing ICE to resume its indiscriminate round-ups of LA’s Latino residents can only be described as one thing.

The ICE raids in Georgia is not an isolated incident. It is a continuation of the utter disregard the US has for South Korea and the lives of South Koreans
Regardless of the confidence a state might have in its ability to carry out a successful mission, what cannot be ignored is the utter disregard the US had for South Korea as an ally and for the lives of ordinary South Koreans

Over the weekend I spoke with people in the Korean intelligence community about the secret infiltration into North Korea and they told me if Seoul had prior knowledge about the mission, they would have adamantly opposed it because it would have triggered a North Korean attack on South Korea

For @us.theguardian.com, I wrote about how Silicon Valley’s right-wing politics go back to the dotcom mania of the 1990s — and how they’re far more central to the tech industry than we’ve previously thought

‘Headed for technofascism’: the rightwing roots of Silicon Valley
The industry’s liberal reputation is misleading. Its reactionary tendencies – celebrating wealth, power and traditional masculinity – have been clear since the dotcom mania of the 1990s

“The launch of the KBO [baseball] is political. After slaughtering civilians in Kwangju, Chun Doo-hwan had to find a way to nullify the people’s anger. Music festivals and sports were introduced to divert the public’s attention from politics. Dictatorship effectively used culture to control people.”

I wrote about the importance of not getting caught up in useless conflicts. Some fights are so big and decisive that they demand our focus and participation. So, choosing what's worth our time and what isn't will make all the difference in these moments. prismreports.org/2025/01/23/f...
Another way out: In fighting fascism, we must choose wisely
If we plan to defy the order of the day, we must decide between what’s worth fighting about and what’s not the best use of our time
