Lukewarm denizen of a ramshackle planet run by clowns and grifters. Certified curmudgeon and licensed misanthrope.
When Epstein died, is it likely that no new entrepreneur stepped in, to satisfy the continuing demand of rich pedophiles? I think not.

Another reason why these bastards need to be prosecuted: this isn't just something that happened in the past.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems that a justice system that depends for its ability to function on the party in power is fatally flawed.

An independent judiciary can't depend on political patronage, or it's just...well, exactly what it is now.

Don' let any of that nasty empathy get on your nice white Christian moralizing.

America has supported regimes that murder their citizens in the streets for decades. Why should it be any different at home?

WW1 was characterized as "lions led by donkeys." I can't imagine why this particular factoid bubbled up in my mind today...

Your regular reminder that tech billionaires want us all dead. It's not a byproduct of their dreams, its the fulfillment of them.

They see machine intelligence as the next step in human evolution, one that inevitably leads to the extinction of biological humans.

Political violence has no place in our democracy. @gabbygiffords.bsky.social is a hero who makes our communities safer. Since the Tucson shooting 15 years ago, where six people were killed and Gabby and many others were injured, she has fought hard to make sure gun violence has no place in America.
Today marks 15 years since a gunman tried to assassinate me. He shot 19 people and killed six.

I almost died, and think of those who did every day.

Let's remember that VEN and Cuba have been close for decades. Cheap VEN oil has kept Cuba afloat. Controlling VEN oil will let the US destabilize Cuba. Two regime-changes for the price of one, and political gold for Cuban-exile darling Lil Marco.

Hey McAllisters! Not only did you leave your kid home alone, you sat in First Class while foisting the rest of your odious brood of brats on the passengers in Economy. Could you suck any harder?

Amazon Prime cut "It's a Wonderful Life" to omit the "Pottersville" scene.

Just in case you thought the billionaires weren't out to destroy us.

Merry Christmas!

I'm homebound and nearly died from COVID last year. I've been trying to get in-home vaccination, but the program seems to have shut down without notice.

The website is still up, but the phone number is always busy and emails bounce back.

Just Nevada not giving a shit about its citizens, as usual.

UPS guy, handing me large box with "LEGO" printed on the side: "Your kids'll have a fun Christmas." Me (who has no children): "Yeah."

According to Amazon Music, a service I don't use, my "artist of the year" is someone I don't know and whose music I couldn't pick out of a lineup.

Way to turn a minorly-interesting feature into just another manipulative ad, Amazon! I needed another reason why you suck.

I wonder if we'll see people with speech impediments becoming in-demand for voiceover work, since it'll be the only way to tell if the video we're watching is real.

I just learned they're making a movie of Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Meridian."

Can't wait to watch it in a double feature with "The Road"...and then kill myself.

It is the first time such a titan of global corruption has recognized an individual who represents its values so perfectly.
